Originally from Winnipeg, Sr. Faiye moved to British Columbia in 2020 to pursue her
studies and recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser
University. During her final year, she began teaching French at Surrey Muslim School
before transitioning into a Grade 3 Homeroom role in the 2024–2025 school year. She
joined the Az-Zahraa community in 2023 after embracing Islam and volunteering with the
Madrasah, where she developed a strong passion for faith-based education. Sr. Faiye is
committed to creating engaging, inclusive, and values-driven learning experiences that
inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
