Sabera Dewji

Sr.Sabera has dedicated her entire career to helping children and youth become the best versions of themselves. She is excited to rejoin the team at Az-Zahraa Academy, where weaving Islamic values and stories into teaching has always been a passion of hers. During her earlier years at the Academy, Sr. Sabera taught every grade level, gaining valuable first-hand insight into how students experience the curriculum as they grow. Since then, she has raised her own children, served for many years as an Elementary School Principal, and worked as an educational consultant. She currently serves as a Program Director at an organization that creates meaningful volunteer opportunities for young adults who mentor students requiring extra support to reach their full potential. With these experiences, Sr. Sabera brings a wealth of skills and tools to help learners build confidence, self-esteem, and a strong Muslim identity. She is committed to supporting each child in discovering their unique gifts and personalities. She especially enjoys sharing stories, playing games, and creating joyful learning experiences alongside her students. Sr. Sabera looks forward to working closely with educators and strengthening connections with parents and students throughout the year at Az-Zahraa Academy.
